Line is an experienced researcher and project manager with 20 years at NIVA, where she has consistently focused on water management-related projects, including leading several for the Norwegian Environment Agency and participating in many EU initiatives. She has been addressing climate change and climate adaptation issues for over 15 years, both in Norway and internationally. She is passionate about knowledge-based management and enjoys exploring environmental challenges from multiple perspectives, aimed at a comprehensive understanding of the problem and seeking inclusive, responsible, and holistic solutions.
With a background in geography and hydrology, combined with a degree in innovation and social entrepreneurship, her current research focuses on climate adaptation, nature-based solutions, and policy analysis. She is also deeply involved in citizen science and participatory research, emphasizing the importance of engaging users and stakeholders in developing solutions.
Line enjoys working in interdisciplinary teams, drawing on both analytical and exploratory approaches depending on the project. Her methodological expertise includes interviews, focus groups, document analysis, and participatory methods.
