The Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA) and Norwegian College of Fishery Science, UiT The Arctic University of Norway (UiT) will jointly administer the project. Dr. Jannike Falk-Andersson (JFA), researcher at NIVA, is the project manager and will be assisted by Prof. Claire Armstrong (CA) from UiT.
NIVA
The Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA) is a national research institute organized as a private foundation. The institute is leading in Norway on aquatic ecosystem research covering both marine and freshwaters with 300 staff, mostly scientists. Our activities cover research, monitoring and advisory services to both public and private organizations.
Role in PICO project: Project management and WP1 lead.

University of Cape Coast

The Arctic University of Norway, UiT
The Arctic University of Norway (UiT) is the third largest in Norway and the northernmost university of the world. Its location on the edge of the Arctic implies a mission. The Arctic is of increasing global importance. Climate change, the exploitation of Arctic resources and environmental threats are topics of great public concern, and which the University of Tromsø takes special interest in.
Role in PICO project: Assist in project management, lead WP4 and co-lead WP2.

Norwegian University of Life Science (NMBU)
The School of Economics and Business at NMBU offers a comprehensive range of teaching and research in economics, business administration, organization, entrepreneurship and innovation – as well as philosophy and theory of science. Their mission is to create knowledge across the fields of economics and business administration, and to develop professionals and leaders who combine an economic mindset with a recognition of multidisciplinary interrelationships, and who are equipped to address real-world problems with sustainability as a guiding principle.
Role in PICO project: Host a Postdoc and lead WP3.

University of Southern Denmark (SDU)
University of Southern Denmark has more than 27,000 students and around 6,000 employees. Our university offers teaching and research at 6 campuses situated on Funen, in the south of Jutland, west of Zealand and in the capital city – in Odense, Kolding, Esbjerg, Sønderborg, Slagelse and Copenhagen. Centre for Applied Research, Norwegian School of Economics (SNF)
Centre for Applied Research at NHH (SNF) is a research institute whose principal owner is the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). SNF conducts research and research based studies for central decision makers in both the private and public sector.

Involved: Prof. Margrethe Aanesen
