Summary
Lake Urmia and the main driving components that regulate this lake are introduced in the introduction chapter. A brief comparison of Lake Urmia with similar regional lakes is provided. Additionally, a short description of the dedicated models developed and adopted for Lake Urmia is presented. This book provides a comparative analysis of the investigated basins to demonstrate a mechanism of the influence of the warming climate and anthropogenic impact on Lake Urmia’s hydrodynamical and chemical regimes.
