Co-existence and nature positive approaches for offshore wind power development
Summarizing knowledge on co-existence and nature-positive approaches in the offshore wind industry.
About the project
Co-existence and nature-positive approaches for offshore wind farms are important for supporting the industry's sustainable development. However, relevant scientific publications and documents in the field are sparse in the available literature.
The project aims to produce a synthesis review on the topic using a combined systematic and narrative approach. The review has a global approach including both bottom-fixed and floating turbines. Additional relevant information on other aquatic-related activities and marine infrastructures are included in the project.
The project also explores relevant nature-inclusive design options which could contribute to nature positive approaches for the Troll Vind project, located in the Norwegian North Sea.
The project is developed in collaboration with Akvaplan-niva.
