Trine Bekkby has been working as a researcher since 2001, with the position as a senior scientist at the professor level at NIVA since 2011. She has been leading many national projects since 2002 and has been principal investigator and/or having leading role in several international projects since 2007. Since 2003 she has been responsible for several field campaigns, with 15-30 days at sea each year. She has several supervision, teaching and evaluation tasks at universities.
