Sammendrag
The pond Andedammen, situated near the city center of Drammen, SE Norway, was visited by NIVA on September 4, 2014. The pond was on the day of inspection partly covered with floating benthic algae of the genus Oedogonium, and this was considered a nuisance by the pond´s neighbors and users of the nearby park. In this report we suggest different measures to improve the water quality to reduce the presence of the benthic algae and introduce the use of the pond for flood control.
