Summary
The monitoring program "Ecosystem Monitoring in Coastal Water - ØKOKYST" aims at monitoring the environmental status in selected areas along the Norwegian coast according to vannforskriften (the Water Framework Directive). Subprogram Norskehavet Sør I includes Ulsteinvik and Geirangerfjorden. All the biological quality elements obtained at least “good” condition, but the overall condition was “good” or “moderate” in the monitored waterbodies.
