Summary
Ecological status of 33 locations in the county Sogn and Fjordane, Norway, has been classified in accordance to the Water Framework Directive (WFD). The results are mainly based on samples collected in 2014, but similar surveys were conducted in 2010 and 3 of those sites are also included. The biological quality elements surveyed were benthic algae and heterotrophic growth, in addition to selected chemical parameters. The selected quality elements are sensitive to the following pressures: Organic material, eutrophication and acidification.
