eDNAqua-plan
eDNAqua-Plan is a European consortium project that focuses on the development of a digital ecosystem for reference libraries and data management of eDNA data from aquatic environments.
About the project
Altogether 18 project partners from 9 European countries are involved. The project is coordinated by the European Marine Biological Resource Centre (EMBRC).
The project is divided into five work packages: “Management, communication and stakeholder engagement”, “Audit and gap analysis”, “Data standards, data linking and compatibility”, “Use cases: testing the developed eDNA library infrastructure”, and “Blueprint, roadmap and sustainability”.
NIVA is involved in work package 2, “Audit and gap analysis”, where we contributed to Task T.3: “Inventory of workflows and data storage approaches currently used in European aquatic DNA-based biodiversity monitoring.”
Publications from the project will be made available in January 2025.
