Assessment of the effects of offshore wind on seabed communities and habitats

This project aimed to provide information relevant to the 17 areas identified by NVE as potential sites for offshore wind farms

First, we conducted a state-of-the-art review of the effects of offshore wind and mitigation measures on benthic fauna and habitat. Second, we performed an assessment of the value and potential impact for each of the 17 areas on two focus groups, commercial shellfish and vulnerable habitats.
