Water quality laboratories
The water quality laboratories provide services within inorganic and some organic analyses in water, sediments and some biological matrices.
At the water quality laboratories in Oslo, NIVA has the necessary instrumentation and facilities to determine a number of different water quality parameters in water and sediments. We are the national reference laboratory for the determination of metals and nutrients in water and have most analytical methods accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025. ISO/IEC 17025.
The laboratory performs sample preparation and analysis of freshwater and seawater from a variety of water bodies, both urban and more or less pristine areas, and contributes to a large proportion of NIVA's projects.
