Sandra is a marine biologist with a deep passion for the diversity and conservation of the marine environment. With more than ten years of experience in the field, she has specialized knowledge in protist diversity, eDNA metabarcoding, bioinformatics, and biostatistics, as well as expertise in laboratory analyses, field sampling, and publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. In 2019, Sandra completed her Ph.D. in Marine Biology at the University of Oslo (UiO) and subsequently worked as a marine researcher at UiO from 2019 to 2021. Transitioning to NIVA in 2021, Sandra currently serves as a Researcher in the oceanography section, where she actively contributes to various projects related to environmental monitoring. Her responsibilities encompass data processing, statistical analysis, data visualization, computational tools (particularly R), and report writing. She is driven by her commitment to understanding and protecting marine ecosystems and is excited to bring her expertise and dedication to new challenges in marine biology.
