Kim has a master of science within Process Technology and specialization within separation. Focusing on thermodynamics and statistical mechanics. He has studied C++ programming and contributed with python and C++ code for simulating gas dehydration and carbon sequestration. He has worked as a scientific IT engineer on ESAs Euclid project where he developed data quality tools and tools to work with the data model.
Kim works on building systems for data acquisition, storage, analysis and access. This ranges from building helm charts for deploying geospatial platforms like geonode on kubernetes, managing deployments like superset or thredds to building REST APIs using python and FastAPI or jobs to automate tedious tasks.
