Profile
Eléonore has more than ten years of experience doing research in EU law and the circular economy. Her PhD thesis, which she wrote at the Law Faculty, University of Oslo (UiO) and defended in 2019, focused on Europe’s policy and regulatory framework for the circular economy, critically discussing the general understanding of the concept and purpose of the circular economy as well as various regulatory approaches notably in waste law, consumer law and public procurement. In 2020, Eléonore was hired as a postdoc at UiO as part of the project ‘Futuring Sustainable Nordic Business Models’ that will conclude in December 2023. Generally, her research approach is based on an inquiry about the law whereby she looks at the law in context, critically analyses it and aims at proposing reforms. In other words, she takes a policy and forward-looking approach to legal study. Eléonore is driven by her desire to contribute to achieving a sustainable future where both humans and the planet can prosper, and where her two boys can continue enjoying nature. She joined the section Water & Society on 1st of September 2023.
